CONCENTRATION CAMP IN AUSCHWITZ / KRAKÓW

The concentration camp in Auschwitz was established by German Nazis on the outskirts of the town Oswiecim in 1940. After the war, the camp was turned into museum displaying evidence of the genocide. Block no. 11, known as the Death Block, was where people were murdered also at the “Wall of Death”. Outside the camp, there is a gas chamber, where 70,000 people were killed in 1940-1943. A film made after the liberation of the camp is shown in various language version in the museum. In 1941, 3 kilometres from Oswiecim, in the former village of Brzezinka, the German Nazis established a new camp called Auschwitz II Birkenau. In 1942-1945, approx. 1.5 million people lived and died here. Most of them (90%) were Jews, others were Poles, Gypsies, Russians and prisoners from 28 countries of Europe, people of all nationalities and political and religious persuasions. Since 1944, transports of prisoners from all over the continent entered directly through the “Gate of Death”. In 1979, Auschwitz – Birkenau Concentration Camp was listed a UNESCO World Culture and National Heritage Site.

SALT MINE IN WIELICZKA / KRAKÓW

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the most ancient mines in the world. It has been operating since the 13th century with no intermissions. In 1978 it was listed at UNESCO World Culture and National Heritage Site. The tourist route open for visitors connects three levels and reaches 135 meters under the surface. Besides the Tourist Route, the underground passages and chambers house the Krakow Salt-Works Museum, one of the largest mining-related museums in Europe. The museum’s collections can be admired both underground at level 3 of the salt mine and in the Salt-Works Castle.

BIAŁOWIEŻA NATIONAL PARK

We dedicate this tour to all nature lovers and to those who besides monuments of big cities are also interested in natural heritage of our country. We invite you to Bialowieza National Park, located in north eastern corner of Poland right next to the border with Belarus. The Park protects best preserved part of Bialowieza Forest – last natural forest at the European Lowland Area, having the primeval character, identical with the one which covered this area of forests hundreds of years ago. In 1979 Bialowieza National Park was put on the List of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The main attraction for visitors is reserve of European bison, which is a symbol of the park and the biggest mammal of the old continent. Today in the whole world exist only 3000 of them, out of which 1200 live in our country. Nowadays Bialowieza National Park is known as a home to the world’s largest population of these animals. During the tour you will be able to see the Bison reserve and admire animals in their wild, natural environment. We will also have a long walk by magical reserve of unique trees, that are much older than any human can ever hope to live and relax in greenery and enjoy fresh air of wild forest.

WARSAW OUTSKIRTS TOUR

During this tour we will take you to most interesting places around Warsaw City. We will visit Zelazowa Wola near Warsaw, where world famous composer Fryderyk Chopin was born. His father worked there as a French teacher. We will visit his birthplace – and old manor, which now houses a museum dedicated to composer. We will also see an unique example of fortified church in Brochow where Chopin’s parents got married and where Frederic Chopin was baptized. Then we will go to Maurzyce a very small village near Lowicz town. It is very old, traditional polish village. There is a heritage park available for visitors which we will visit. On way back to Warsaw we will stop in Nieborow Palace. The origins of Nieborow date back to the end of 12th century when a settlement was founded and afterwards a village with the wooden mansion and the church erogated in 1314. At the beginning of the 16th century a Gothic Renaissance mansion was raised which lasted till the 17th century. There is also a park with baroque garden in the regular (French) style was designed in the 60s of the 18th century. You will visit Palace and park and also if you like we can show you a nearby English style garden in nearby village of Arkadia.
