CONCENTRATION CAMP IN AUSCHWITZ / KRAKOW by car

The concentration camp in Auschwitz was established by German Nazis on the outskirts of the town Oswiecim in 1940. After the war, the camp was turned into museum displaying evidence of the genocide. Block no. 11, known as the Death Block, was where people were murdered also at the “Wall of Death”. Outside the camp, there is a gas chamber, where 70,000 people were killed in 1940-1943. A film made after the liberation of the camp is shown in various language version in the museum. In 1941, 3 kilometres from Oswiecim, in the former village of Brzezinka, the German Nazis established a new camp called Auschwitz II Birkenau. In 1942-1945, approx. 1.5 million people lived and died here. Most of them (90%) were Jews, others were Poles, Gypsies, Russians and prisoners from 28 countries of Europe, people of all nationalities and political and religious persuasions. Since 1944, transports of prisoners from all over the continent entered directly through the “Gate of Death”. In 1979, Auschwitz – Birkenau Concentration Camp was listed a UNESCO World Culture and National Heritage Site.

SALT MINE IN WIELICZKA / KRAKOW  by car

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the most ancient mines in the world. It has been operating since the 13th century with no intermissions. In 1978 it was listed at UNESCO World Culture and National Heritage Site. The tourist route open for visitors connects three levels and reaches 135 meters under the surface. Besides the Tourist Route, the underground passages and chambers house the Krakow Salt-Works Museum, one of the largest mining-related museums in Europe. The museum’s collections can be admired both underground at level 3 of the salt mine and in the Salt-Works Castle.

BIALOWIEZA NATIONAL PARK

The Park protects best preserved part of Bialowieza Forest – last natural forest at the European Lowland Area, having the primeval character, identical with the one which covered this area of forests hundreds of years ago. In 1979 Bialowieza National Park was put on the List of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The main attraction for visitors is reserve of European bison, which is a symbol of the park and the biggest mammal of the old continent. Today in the whole world exist only 3000 of them, out of which 1200 live in our country. Nowadays Bialowieza National Park is known as a home to the world’s largest population of these animals. WARSAW OUTSKIRTS

During this tour we will take you to most interesting places around Warsaw City. We will visit Zelazowa Wola near Warsaw, where world famous composer Fryderyk Chopin was born. His father worked there as a French teacher. We will visit his birthplace – and old manor, which now houses a museum dedicated to composer. We will also see an unique example of fortified church in Brochow where Chopin’s parents got married and where Frederic Chopin was baptized. Then we will go to Maurzyce a very small village near Lowicz town. It is very old, traditional polish village. There is a heritage park available for visitors which we will visit. On way back to Warsaw we will stop in Nieborow Palace. The origins of Nieborow date back to the end of 12th century when a settlement was founded and afterwards a village with the wooden mansion and the church erogated in 1314. At the beginning of the 16th century a Gothic Renaissance mansion was raised which lasted till the 17th century. There is also a park with baroque garden in the regular (French) style was designed in the 60s of the 18th century. You will visit Palace and park and also if you like we can show you a nearby English style garden in nearby village of Arkadia.

WOLF'S LAIR - Hitler's headquarters

In the forest between the lakes Siercze and Moj 9 km east of Ketrzyn is the complex of bunkers, which during World War II was the headquarters of the armed forces high command and Hitler’s headquarters. Commander of the Third Reich stayed here for over 900 days. Construction and expansion of accommodation lasted 4 years. The first buildings were built in August 1940. They were wooden and brick buildings. The plan of attack on the Soviet Union assumed that most of the territory of the European part is scored as early as December 1940, including Moscow, Leningrad, the Caucasus. As the plans failed to realize in 1942, the expansion of accommodation. Team principal object of command was an independent city in which the function boilers, power plant, water supply with its own water intake, cinema, casino, central telephone-radio, airport and railway station. This town was hidden in the forest complex covering about 800 ha. The main area of ​​apartments, about 250 acres was surrounded by barbed wire and minefields. The headquarters is related to an event that could change the course of World War II. The special briefing on 20 July 1944 Filip Claus Graf von Stauffenberg has one of the most famous attacks on Adolf Hitler. In 1959, the land “Wolf’s Lair” were made available to the public. Since then come here every year thousands of tourists from around the world. In the vicinity of the bunkers was parking, hotel, camping and a restaurant.

TREBLINKA

Treblinka  was an  extermination camp built and operated by  Nazi Germany in  occupied Poland during  World War II.  It was located in a forest north-east of  Warsaw, 4 kilometers south of the  Treblinka train station in what is now the  Masovian Voivodeship. The camp operated between 22 July 1942 and 19 October 1943 as part of  Operation Reinhard, the deadliest phase of the  Final Solution. During this time, it is estimated that between 700,000 and 900,000  Jews were killed in its gas chambers,  along with 2,000  Romani people.  More Jews were killed at Treblinka than at any other Nazi extermination camp apart from  Auschwitz

MALBORK CASTLE

The Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork is a 13th-century Teutonic castle and fortress located near the town of Malbork. It is the largest castle in the world measured by land area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was originally constructed by theTeutonic Knights, a German Catholic religious order crusaders. It served as one of the several Polish royal residences, interrupted by several years of Swedish occupation, and fulfilling this function until the First Partition of Poland in 1772. Following Germany's defeat in 1945, the land was reassigned to Poland. Heavily damaged during World War II, the castle was renovated under the auspices of modern-day Poland in the second half of the 20th century and most recently in 2016. Nowadays, the castle hosts exhibitions and serves as a museum.

The castle is a classic example of a medieval fortress and on its completion in 1406, was the world's largest brick castle.

CZESTOCHOWA- the Pauline Monastery of Jasna Gora

The Jasna Gora Monastery in Częstochowa is a famous Polish shrine to the Virgin Mary and one of the country's places of pilgrimage. The image of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa, also known as Our Lady of Częstochowa, to which miraculous powers are attributed, is one of Jasna Góra's most precious treasures. Among the monastery's other treasures and artifacts of interest is the medal from the 1983 Nobel Peace Prize received by Lech Wałęsa, the former Polish president and trade-union organizer. Jasna Gora was founded in 1382 by Pauline monks who came from Hungary, the monastery withstood several sieges, including the legendary 40-day siege by the Swedes in 1655. The site is one of Poland's official national Historic Monuments as of 16 October 1994 and is tracked by the National Heritage Board of Poland.
